What Does this blood Sugar Test Result Mean?

Hi, I had blood sugar report as follows- i) Empty Stomach - 131 ii) PP(2 hours after meal) - 272 I have been prescribed Saxaglipitin-1 tablet in the morning after meal and Glycomet-1-GM 1 tablet after Lunch and Dinner. paralelly I also take Lipicure 10 for triglycerides (It was 333). Recently I feel very exhausted and tired. Also craving for food has reduced. Is it ok?

Hello there,
Based on your reports you have diabetes. Both your fasting and after food/post prandial/PP levels are above the normal values.
Your drugs prescribed are the standard drugs used in diabetes.
I would advise you to have 1 hour of physical activity-brisk walking/swimming/dancing , anything that is eay for you to do. Eat small and frequent meals i.e have 6 small meals a day instead of 3 big meals. Avoid sugary foods and processed foods and stick to whole food or salads and eggs, chicken or fish.

These will help you prevent tiredness. Lipitor is to be continued and it would help in your diabetes.
